Welcome ALL! Pilates is designed for EVERY BODY! Joseph Pilates first designed the mat to create a strong, limber, stable body. While traveling as a contortionist with the circus in England during WWI, he was interred into a camp for being German. While there he encountered many of his countrymen, too tired or sick to get on the floor and perform the mat work. This is where the idea for the first reformer was born. He took the springs from the beds and used them for resistance training for his bedridden comrades. (If you have a reformer, contact me for private lessons.)
